Anica + Andrew’s day was, well – maybe my favorite day of all time. This is a big ole’ blog, so give it some time to load. :)
A quintessential staple of Kentucky, their wedding at Churchill Downs provided an amazing experience for their guests from all over the country – a bourbon on the rocks overlooking the most famous horse track in history is absolutely a night to remember.
The attention to detail was constantly catching my gaze – the way Anica’s earrings and shoes coordinated perfectly with the lighting in her reception, the way the Mother of the Bride’s dress was a perfect pair to their wedding invitations, the greenery and florals coordinating perfectly with the railing and grandstands of Churchill Downs – it was an aesthetic masterpiece – yet subtle enough it could easily be overlooked. It was Art Deco + Jackie O + Stevie Nicks vibe that I just can’t stop obsessing over.
Anica’s dress seemed to be made just for her – bold yet understated and modern – the way is glided with her, the way it flowed in the wind made her seem like her feet were never touching the ground. Gliding through the day like some sort of Roman goddess meets Carly Simon. Again – obsessed.
