How to Book: Super easy! There’s a link in my menu options that says BOOK. You can click that and see my current availability, choose your date and pay your non refundable retainer fee.  Please plan in advance as I typically book 9-12 weeks ahead of time in my busy seasons. We will discuss your ideas, what options are best for you, and start planning your shoot the week of.

Location: I’m an “On location” kinda girl. I love creative locations – indoor and out. I have 30 acres of land in Hardin County I shoot at often, but love variety, so bring on your ideas! For newborn shoots – toddlers, I do have a small indoor studio for use at my home.

Why are you not taking new clients: I know, it’s a bummer. It’s one of those things that are currently helping me find some balance, a manageable workload, and some flexibility in my calendar. Please, don’t take it personal. One of my favorite things is meeting new people, but I’m in my soft girl era – ready for slower mornings and a lot less hustle. Likely this won’t be forever, so thank you for giving me grace. The struggle finding balance between my passion and being my best self, both at work and not, is a constant pivot.

When are you available to shoot:

M-F:I do all of my portrait sessions through the week – for outdoor shoots, most often done in the evenings around 2 hours before sunset. Indoor/studio can be flexible.

Saturdays and Sundays: My days off.  No.

What to wear: Something comfortable! Your favorite outfit, or your favorite jeans. It’s important to wear comfortable shoes, as we may be walking a bit outside to get you to the perfect spot. If there are several people in your family coming for photos, you don’t have to match, but I would coordinate. So, one person shouldn’t be wearing all neon colors while a few others are wearing all plaid.  Feel free to bring outfit changes or any special props if you want.  Need some ideas or inspiration?? Well, here ya go.  https://pinterest.com/elainajanes/what-to-wear/

What to expect: Laid back and FUN! No need to stress, this is going to be an enjoyable experience, so just come ready to smile and laugh a lot. We will walk, talk, and might even get a little dirty. It will be so laid back, in fact, expect me to be wearing sweatpants and a hoodie. If you’re lucky, I might even be sporting a side ponytail.  I promise, you’ll have a good time.

Payment: Non-refundable retainer due at booking. If I’m traveling outside of the Hardin County area, I’ll let you know the extra travel expenses before your session. 1-2 weeks before your appointment, I’ll email you to confirm all of our details, directions if necessary and my contact information. Balance of your session is due the week of our shoot! :)

After your session: After we are all done, I will process your photos and email a link to see them all. I know that waiting is the hardest part, so I go ahead and let you see them asap! I can usually have this to you within 7-10 days. I use my discretion, and give you the best photos from the shoots. You will be able to purchase prints and specialty items directly from this link as well as download images immediately with a print release!

I’m out of the country for a week, but before I go - I’m so excited to share a creative art piece I did for the upcoming art auction for @silverleafservices This is only available for bidding live at the auction, (11X14 framed) so we’d love for you to come! There’s tons of info on their page.

“Revival in Color”

A bold declaration of resilience, Revival in Color embodies the transformation of pain into power. Deep magenta hues, both organic and fluid, symbolize wounds that have not only healed but have become part of a masterpiece. Interwoven among the blooming flowers, paintbrushes—dipped in rich, dripping color—serve as tools of reclamation, turning grief into creation and silence into expression. The hands, stained yet steady, hold both beauty and defiance, a testament to survival. Etched on the wrist, a quiet yet powerful symbol speaks to a journey that cannot be erased—a mark not of what was lost, but of what was reclaimed. This piece is a reminder that healing is not just survival, but a revival—one painted in courage, artistry, and unyielding vibrancy.
Just here to show you how beautiful your spirit is. 🎀
