It’s been forever since I’ve had a second to blog – almost 3 weeks since the last one! Life, work, laundry has been keeping me on my toes but I’m ever so thankful to have a free afternoon to let you meet Ashley + Clint (and their adorable furbabe, Levi).
This is a session I got way out of my comfort zone and tried new techniques I had never done before. This couple is amazing and wanted something new, different – out of the box from a typical engagement session. So, we started earlier that day with some natural light photos, and then braved through the rain and chilly evening to do some cool shots with long exposures + light painting that night.
For those of you who have had a session with me in the past, or have one scheduled for the future – you’ll see first hand how excited I get when I look at the back of the camera and see your portrait as the art I had imagined. It’s kind of an awkward squeal, tourist face with a cuss word or two thrown in. Just can’t help it. And thanks to both Clint and Ashley for politely putting up with my lame enthusiastic responses throughout the dark, cold, rainy evening. And I’m sure you guys were hungry too. You’re both champs, and I simply cannot wait until your wedding day!
I also can’t forget about my sweet Hubs, who diligently carried my equipment through downtown Louisville, lit sparklers and made swirls like a boss.
