Hillary and Corey were married this Saturday on her parents farm. It was an intimate afternoon with close friends and family – and a surprise filled day that still has me dreaming. We started with a hot, summer like day. We stood in front of storm clouds and danced in the rain. They married in a dim lit barn with the sound of raindrops on the roof and falling behind them. We saw a sunset, and then a rainbow. We laughed, they loved. It was just one of those days you’ll never forget. And while all these things were phenomenal, nothing out showed the love Corey and Hillary have for each other.
Their first look was one of the most emotional and raw that I’ve ever witnessed. They kept cool and calm as their family and friends moved their planned outdoor ceremony inside to the reception. As plans changed last minute, they kept smiling, laughing and rolled with it.
And can we take a second to applaud these details, this dress?! Hillary is a very talented photographer herself (Inspire Photography) and from the minute I walked in that morning I was blown away. While she kept the day intimate, she made sure her details reflected them – including pizza at the reception. Her dessert table included the specialty of several family members and the sweetest naked cake you’ve ever seen. Homemade crab apple jam was given away as favors. The day was sewn together with these meaningful touches, making it all really come alive and FELT.
PS – her grandmas were her flower girls. I mean, stop it.
